ADAMI Studio – Tbilisi 2019

For Azerbaijani, Armenian  & Georgian filmmakers


The ADAMI Media Prize for Cultural Diversity in Eastern Europe is launching a Call for Applications for fiction and documentary film projects in the editing stage, addressing cultural diversity, ethnic and religious tolerance, integration, or peaceful coexistence topics, to participate in a two and a half day workshop in Tbilisi, Georgia, December 5-7, 2019.

The workshop will generate participant exchange and feedback, introduce different storytelling approaches and increase the appeal of films to a wider, international audience. The workshop will take place in several editing rooms, where participants will receive tutoring from experienced filmmakers/editors and work on each other’s edits.

The workshop is being organized in partnership with the Tbilisi International Film Festival. Aside from editing room work, ADAMI Studio participants will be given the chance to attend screenings and networking events that the festival offers to its international guests.

 All interested Azerbaijani, Armenian and Georgian production companies, TV stations or individual producers/filmmakers with a project in production may apply via the link below. The workshop is open to directors and editors of the films selected for participation.


Please note: Only feature length or medium length (longer than 10 min.) film projects in  editing / post production stage can participate. At least half (50%) of the film shoot should be completed by the time of workshop registration.

Interested teams should include with their applications a synopsis and excerpts of the proposed film project. Four to six projects will be selected for the two and a half day editing workshop, to be conducted by internationally acclaimed editors and dramatic advisors.

ADAMI Studio will focus on storyline development and the dramatic potential for selected projects.

- Travel & accommodation provided for teams selected from outside of Tbilisi

- Two participants per project (director & editor)

About the ADAMI Media Prize

The ADAMI Media Prize for Cultural Diversity in Eastern Europe was created in 2015 to encourage filmmakers, journalists and audio-visual media professionals in the EU Eastern Partnership countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine) to produce content on topics of migration, tolerance and cultural diversity. ADAMI awards outstanding TV, film and online programmes in a competition open to broadcasters, production companies, online media outlets, universities and film schools in the six participating countries.

Beyond the prize, ADAMI offers additional opportunities to media professionals and filmmakers such as fellowships, workshops and networking events.
